Planning a trip to Singapore? Enjoy the best of what The Lion city has to offer with this guide packed with iconic landmarks, hidden gems and fun activities for that perfect holiday!
1. HAJI LANE

This hip alley is a must visit in Singapore. It is an adorable little street with a bunch of local boutiques and colourful baroque style houses. You’ll love the lively and eclectic vibe that it offers. Shoppers paradise by day and a party hub by night! Also check out Arab lane which is just a quick walk away, you’ll love it too!
2. LITTLE INDIA

Immense yourself in rich and diverse culture of the Indian community in Singapore! An explosion of colours and smells that stretches along Serangoon road. Lots of pretty coloured buildings and tons of food stalls! This is the best place to taste Indian cuisine! Fish head curry please! How about a traditional Henna done on your arms, hands or legs? This place has everything you want to buy from Bollywood music to fresh produce! Always remember, when in Little India, be prepared to barter!
3. MARINA BAY SANDS

When it comes to infinity pool goals, I’m pretty sure Marina Bay Sands is on everyone’s bucket list! Yes, it is a bit pricey. But then again, Experiences are Priceless! There’s nothing wrong with treating yourself with a bit of luxury sometimes, right?
4. CHANGI AIRPORT

Swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, free foot massages and snooze lounges. Themed gardens & smart toilets. Sound fancy, isn’t it? Welcome to Changi airport! Indeed, the world’s best airport! You can even catch the latest blockbusters for free at the 24-hour movie theatre & splurge on ultra-luxe to pocket friendly duty-free shops. Changi airport is a tourist destination itself! So please do yourself a favour and consider a longer stay the next time you touch down here!
5. SINGAPORE CABLE CAR

Yes, they’re right, it is a bit expensive and a little overrated. But the views are spectacular from above! Plus, it is the only cable car in the world that goes over a forest and a highway through an office building over a cruise bay and into a resort island all in 15 minutes! Beat that! It’s a very scenic ride and totally safe for the whole family! You will not be disappointed!
6. CHINATOWN

You can’t go to Singapore without paying a visit to their famous Chinatown. This is the cleanest Chinatown in the world! Trust me on this! Buildings are beautifully refurbished, streets are packed with Chinese trinkets, souvenirs & cheesy Singapore shirts! There are numerous local foods to sample on! But while you’re here, make your way to Hawker Chan and eat the cheapest one Michelin star meal in the planet, Soya Sauce Chicken Rice! So simple but full of flavour, definitely worth the queue!
7. SUPERTREE GROVE

Visit the Supertree in the evening as they come alive for a majestic show! The trees look like something out of a fantasy movie, beautifully lit and unbelievably free! Watch the light and sound show while lying on the floor, underneath the trees. You’ll surely be mesmerised by this awesome concept and I highly recommend stopping by while you’re in the city!
8. HAWKER CENTERS

It’s impossible to visit Singapore and not eat your way around a hawker centre. This is the best way to experience the local food scene. You will be overwhelmed by countless food stalls all under one roof! But where is the best Hawker Centre? One can never tell! But in my case, the oyster omelette I had at Toa Payoh is definitely one for the books! I love oysters, I love omelettes! Mix them together? Shut up and just take my money!
9. MERLION PARK

This park is the city’s main tourist attraction! And you got to do what you got to do… Snap a photo with the Merlion! (Mermaid + Lion). It is Singapore’s national icon and a selfie with this landmark is a must! The water from its mouth is believed to bring good fortune so make sure you get splashed!
10. CLOUD FOREST

The Cloud Forest is the second of the two domes in Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by the most spectacular man-made waterfall, cleverly done and very well constructed. Where else would you get a rainforest experience in the middle of a cosmopolitan city? Amazing is an understatement!
